Steps

  1. Charge your PSP
  2. To be sure you need it, check if version is under 6.61 in Settings > System Settings > System Information
  3. Turn OFF the PSP and remove the Card and open it with your PC (or connect PSP directly)
  4. Copy all the contains of "Update to 6.61 OFW PBP" folder in your PSP root folder (it will just create UPDATE folder and place the PBP inside)
  5. Put the Card in the PSP and turn ON the PSP (or simply remove cable)
  6. Check if Settings > System Settings > USB Charge is ON
  7. Check if Settings > System Settings > USB Auto Connect is ON
  8. Launch update in Game > Memory Stick > "PSP Update v6.61"
  9. Check if the version is now 6.61 in Settings > System Settings > System Information
