Changing bulbs

Changing bulbs

Car

Steps

  1. Purchases
  2. > Check the bulbs you need (see H7, H4, etc.)
  3. > Just enter your registration on oscaro.com and look for "light bulbs"
  4. https://www.oscaro.com/
  5. > The three types of lights that you can change are:
  6. High beam (the base)
  7. Headlights (if you often drive at night)
  8. Front Fog Light (if you use them a lot or your vehicle activates them when cornering)
  9. /!\ The most important are the "High beams" because they are the ones you will use the most!
  10. Preparations
  11. Put yourself in a place with space to circulate around the nose of your vehicle
  12. Cut power
  13. Open the hood (usually the lever is on the vertical upright under the steering wheel)
  14. Check that the cover is properly held (not to avoid any problem)
  15. Start with the right light (driver view), as it is normally (up to you) easier to access, which will help you for the second
  16. The manipulations
  17. > Then repeat these steps for all lights:
  18. A simple reinforced plaster cover is to be removed (without losing it)
  19. A metal clip (with two coding pins at the top and two rounded tucked in at the bottom, passing under the wires) holding the bulb in its cavity is to be removed (without losing it)
  20. Just remove the bulb by pulling hard (pay attention to the direction, because there is a key on the bulb) and put the new
  21. Replace the metal clip and the plastic cover (check that everything fits well)
  22. Start to check that it lights up
  23. The improvements
  24. Obviously, you can take the opportunity to put a more powerful light (in compliance with the legal maximum), whiter (aesthetic) and which consumes less
  25. > Recommended model: Philips RacingVision (+130% visibility, white color and normal lifespan)
